What is Afro Language Grove?
Afro Language Grove is a language learning platform designed to help you learn African languages in a practical, conversational, and culturally grounded way—focused on real communication, not academic theory.

We meet you at your level. We support:
  • Absolute beginners
  • Intermediate learners
  • Advanced learners
  • Individual (1-on-1) – personalized attention
  • Duo (2 people) – learn with a partner
  • Small Group (max 6 people) – interactive group learning
  • Duo classes: You are required to register with your own partner
  • Group classes: You will be placed in a group of similar-level learners
Based on:
  • Language selected
  • Skill level
  • Availability
Classes are held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
You do not need a Microsoft account to join.
Class schedules are pre-set by tutors, and students are expected to follow the assigned timetable.
You can indicate your availability during registration, but final class times are determined by tutor schedules.
Any changes outside your assigned schedule must be discussed with the admin team and are subject to availability.

Each class session lasts 1 hour.
Final class duration will be clearly communicated before classes begin.

Our classes are led by cultural custodians and native speakers who actively live and use the language. We focus on:

Yes. Our children’s classes are:
  • Age-appropriate

Yes. Parents can indicate any special needs during registration so we can tailor the learning experience where possible.

All payments are made directly on our website:
  • The cost of each class or course is clearly listed
  • Payment is completed at checkout after filling the required forms

Yes. You can register with a friend or partner for duo classes.
Please note: you will complete the course with the same partner you register with.
Yes. Group class participants are assigned into small groups based on level and availability.
No. Groups are curated for you.
No. All classes are paid. Pricing is available on our website before checkout.
Each course runs for 24 lessons.
